One of the first things I notice in the businesses I come in contact with across the world is whether those who work in them are excited by what they do or not. Work is necessary. If we are working and we’re calling it work then we have to do it in order to make a living.
Whether we like it or not we will have to put in X amount of hours each day into our work so why are we not excited by it? The moment I bring this up the usual list of excuses gets rolled out. Lack of sleep, tiredness, stress, too much work, too little time, not enough money, ungrateful customers, a shifting market, challenging financial conditions and uncertainty over the future.
