It is worth bearing in mind that social media marketing and SEO are increasingly convergent activities and, as I have blogged before, there are savings in time and cost which can be gained by understanding that social media marketing, when done correctly, also helps your SEO.
Over the last year I have seen the whole-hearted embrace of Social Media Marketing because on the face of it, it appears to be ‘easy’ and I have seen a commensurate drop in interest in SEO, mostly because there is still a perception that it is, somehow, difficult. The truth is actually close to the middle, the degree of how easy or hard each activity is, lies more in our perceptions which, in this case, are false.
