Gym truths and business reality often coincide for the same reasons: biology and economics make it difficult to lie to oneself for long.
‘Maintenance’ at the gym is a lie perpetuated by those who want to feel they are training without having anything to train for or simply do not feel the need to train very hard. Here’s the truth: biological time moves only in one direction. To defy entropy it takes a lot of hard work and as time passes the amount of work required only goes up, not down.
‘Maintenance’ is likely to see you degrade by degrees until you can no longer do what you once could.
Business is exactly the same.
Get Help: Business books that help you get where you want faster by clearly detailing the steps you need to take.
The world is changing. Not overnight and not all at once, but it is changing nevertheless. In my talks to corporate groups, CEOs, VPs and industry leaders I gleam insights of how this change is happening. What evidence exists. Why some things happen and not others and how we can best take advantage of it all to do better. In Observations I catalogue it all. Brief, to the point and open to discussion.
