Leadership in Business

The moment there is a crisis point with either staff or customers, leadership steps in. The CEO will denounce the situation and reiterate company values. There will be lectures on what the company stands for. There may even be specific workshops created for the purpose.

That’s shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.

Leadership is either there from the start or it isn’t. Anything else is applying a patch because business is hurting and pretending it’s principles.

The world is changing. Not overnight and not all at once, but it is changing nevertheless. In my talks to corporate groups, CEOs, VPs and industry leaders I gleam insights of how this change is happening. What evidence exists. Why some things happen and not others and how we can best take advantage of it all to do better. In Observations I catalogue it all. Brief, to the point and open to discussion.
